Here you can learn how to manage testers for Appstore DevTest for In-App Purchasing (IAP). You can manage testers at the account level or the app level. At the account level, you can manage all testers and tester groups that exist in your account. You can use account level testers and tester groups across both Live App Testing (LAT) and DevTest for IAP. At the app level, you can manage access to DevTest for IAP for up to 50 testers per app.

Account level actions

To view all tester groups in your account, select Tools & Services > Tester Management from the Developer Console top navigation bar. On this screen, you can manage your tester groups at the account level. To view all testers in your account, select View all testers. Actions you can take at the account level include:
  • Add testers
  • Add groups
  • Edit groups (add testers, delete testers, rename group)
  • Delete groups (removes the group from it’s associated LATs, DevTest for IAP registrations, and deletes testers who are not associated with any other group)
  • Delete testers from group (if the tester is not associated with any other group, this will delete them from your account)
  • Delete testers (when performed from the All testers screen, this will remove them from your account; they will no longer appear in any groups, LATs, or DevTest for IAP registrations)

App level actions

After you register an app for DevTest for IAP, you can add and manage up to 50 the testers for the app. You can take the following actions at the app level:
  • Add testers
  • Delete testers (removes tester from the DevTest for IAP registration only for that app; tester remains in your account and in LATs if enabled)
  • Reset in-app items for testers

Add testers at the app level

  1. In the Amazon Appstore DevTest for IAP section on the sidebar, select Manage testers.
  2. Select Add new testers and complete the workflow. For detailed instructions, see .

Manage testers

You can perform an action for an individual or specific group of testers. Actions include resetting in-app items, or removing the tester from the DevTest for IAP registration. To manage testers registered to DevTest for IAP
  1. In the Amazon Appstore DevTest for IAP section on the sidebar, select Manage testers.
  2. Select the checkboxes next to the testers you want to manage.
  3. Select Choose an action and choose the action you want to perform for the selected testers.

    Reset in-app items – The ability to reset in-app purchases can be useful when starting a new test cycle. If you want to reset in-app purchases for testers, select the checkbox next to the testers, then select Reset Tester Entitlements or Reset Tester Subscriptions based on the type of item you want to reset for those testers. Delete – If you want a tester to no longer have access to DevTest for IAP for this app, choose Delete. The tester is removed from the tester group only for the DevTest for IAP registration associated with this app. The tester will still be associated with the group in Tester Management.
